It was Thursday afternoon, my family decided to go to out. It has been a long time we haven't get together for a while. So, it was decided, that afternoon, to go to a Chinese Restaurant called "Panda". It was the most delicious Asian restaurant in Khartoum, Sudan.
At about 8: 30 in the evening, seven people rode on a small car to the restaurant. It includes my parents, my cousin, my three brothers, not forgetting myself alone. We arrived 15 minutes after the departure time. We sat in a seven chair round table with a small tree figure that decorated it. We ordered a lot of food menus that night.
It took about 45 minutes waiting for our orders to arrived. My stomach grumbled already. Finally, 7 bowls accompany with its spoon had arrived. But where's the food? We had to wait 5 minutes again for the soup to arrive. Sweet corn soup was the first dish that arrive followed by other dishes to arrive. While the dishes are about to finish, suddenly my mom remembered that the steamed fish with green pepper is not served yet. I surprisingly remembered that the roasted beef with iron plate was not served yet also. So I called the waiter which is the thing I hated to do at that night. Because every time the waiter came nearby, it stinks the table aura. He smelled like he haven't took shower for three months. You could imagine how bad it was. But anyway, it was a good thing that he was not the chef or else I wouldn't come to that place again. However, back to the main story. I called the waiter and he said that these dishes needs time. So we waited about for another 5 minutes again. I know. This restaurant moves very impractically.
Finally, the last dishes came. It was the tastiest dishes ever besides the crispy savory duck. Crispy savory duck was my most favorite dishes ever. Every time I go to a Chinese restaurant, I always search for this menu. However, back again to the main topic. Our stomach were very stuffed. I could barely breath with it. So after done eating, I went to the cashier to pay while others are still talking in the round table. After that, I called my brother to take a picture of me in front of the beautiful view of the restaurant. While taking pictures, I saw a Chinese man and woman peeking at us. They looked pretty young. I guessed. But I wondered of what were they peeking at. I felt embarrassed after I thought that they were peeking at my brother and I. But anyway, after taking few pictures of me alone, you could see how narcissistic I am, I return back to the table and sat in the chair there. 20 minutes of talking causes our stomach to be normal again, so we decided to go home.
My father went first to the car, while the others were still walking away from the restaurant. Suddenly, I screamed which made my mom and cousin screamed also. I saw a dog running so fast along us. I said to everyone there, "there's a dog behind us". My mom replied, "that was a dog? I thought that was a sheep?" Everyone laughed at my mom. How could a dog looked like a sheep? It's a major big difference! After that the dog ran away again out of the restaurant.
Suddenly the Chinese man that was peeking at us went out calling us. I didn't noticed that he was calling. But two of my brothers noticed him. He was calling us with his Chinese accent which made us very confused. A word we heard from him, "Sonjai sonjai" with his hand calling us to go to him. So my brother with his own initiative went to him and asked, "What happen?" We thought that the cashier was mistakenly miscalculate. So we waited for him to come back. After he came back, we asked him of what did the Chinese guy want. So my brother explained, "I asked him what happened and then shit!! You know what he said??!! He said nothing, 'I'm just looking for my dog'" . Everyone laughed. my older brother teased him on the way home, "since when are you a dog dude??" Everyone said to my poor brother, "He insulted you. Hahahah" Sonjai come here.. Sonjai, my doggy. My doggy!! hahahaha.
